Our Founder & Story

Engaging your clients around their values and vision, not just their portfolios, deepens trust and investment.” Vance Howard created HCM National Philanthropic Group (HCM-NPG) as an additional tool in the financial planning arena. His initial effort began with his investment in the oldest running cafe in the state of Texas, The Cafe Texan, refurbishing the building and reopening the restaurant as both a cafe and a museum with proceeds going towards nonprofits in the community, scholarships for ambitious students, and other local charities. HCM-NPG employs Howard’s time-tested investment philosophy with the philanthropic resources needed to maximize benefits to investors and society. Established in 1999, Howard Capital Management, LLC (HCM), is an SEC-Registered Investment Advisory Firm managing $8.9 billion (as of May 31, 2026).
